Bellator is going to be WILDE!

Bellator sets up camp here in Birmingham this May with local lad Tim Wilde going head-to-head with the former Lightweight World Champion, Brent Primus. We were lucky enough to catch up with Tim, watch him train and ask the all-important question…”what’s going to be the outcome on 4th May?”.

Earlier this morning, we grabbed our equipment, jumped in the car and travelled over to the UTC in Cannock to catch up with Bellator's Tim Wilde ahead of his main event clash with Brent Primus.

Watching Tim shadow box, spar and train with his team-mates made it clear how dedicated and determined he not only to reign victorious come 4 May, but to Mixed Martial Arts as a whole - and after his gruelling session, we were lucky enough to chat with the man himself.

Here's what went down...

You're going to have to watch the video for all of Wilde's answers, but, when we asked Tim for his prediction come 4th May, here's what he had to say...

"I do believe he's tough and he won't be easy to put away, but my prediction would be that I'm going to finish him in the third round...and it will be explosive."

What a message to send to Primus, we think he's going to be in for a long night with Wilde!

The main event is going to be so BIG, but if you think it's a one-fight card then you're wrong. Over the last few days we've had a bunch of massive bouts added to the Bellator Birmingham card as homegrown hero, Fabian “The Assassin” Edwards (6-0), joins the main card against Portugal’s Falco “Telelo” Neto Lopes (11-9) in a middleweight clash, while current Bellator Kickboxing welterweight champion Raymond “The Real Deal” Daniels steps inside the Bellator cage for the first time against longtime London combat sports veteran Jon Durrant!

Also, Sunderland’s very own Ryan “Big Baby” Scope (10-2) will face American Derek “The Stallion” Campos (19-8) in the co-main event...and it all kicks off here in Birmingham on Saturday 4th May!
