Birmingham International Dance Festival (BIDF) is back from 1-24 June, presenting fantastic dance in Birmingham’s theatres and taking over the city’s streets and squares with show-stopping free performances. We’ll be getting the city moving, with a host of events and activities – including an early morning rave, social dance, mass participation events, family-friendly activities, freestyle fusion, and immersive Virtual Reality experiences. MORNING GLORYVILLE

Morning Gloryville is an immersive morning dance experience for those who dare to challenge morning culture and start their day in style! We are on a soul-shaking mission to turn clubbing upside-down and transform mornings into something truly remarkable.
ELEMENTS OF FFREESTYLE / ISH DANCE COLLECTIVE
Thu 14 June / 7.15pm
Four skating ramps dominate the stage, being taken apart and reassembled in multiple ways to showcase thrilling performances of breakdance, inline skating, skateboarding, freerunning, BMX, and even freestyle basketball.
ATOMOS / COMPANY WAYNE MCGREGOR
Fri 1 June to Sat 2 June / 7.30pm
Known for his unique, tenacious questioning across the interface of art and science and through the body and mind, McGregor has remained at the forefront of contemporary arts for the past 25 years. Ten incredible dancers perform McGregor’s unique style – sculptural, rigorous, jarring and hauntingly beautiful. 3D glasses are provided for part of the performance.
