We Are Getting Our Buzz Back

We’ve finally got some good news we can start talking to you guys about in regards to our NEC campus! Whilst we’re working hard behind the scenes to get live events back up and running, we’re super proud to see that both Resorts World and Bear Grylls Adventure have reopened their doors and started to bring the good times back to Brum! Come and see what’s waiting for you!

First things first, we can’t wait to welcome you all back for more unforgettable events here in Birmingham. Whilst we're awaiting the green light to get things back underway, we're working super hard behind the scenes to make sure our venue is as safe as possible and ensure hygiene standards are met for our staff, artists and of course, you, our lovely customers. We continue to monitor advice from WHO, PHE and Local Government in relation to COVID-19, but we encourage you to keep an eye on our channels for all the latest info on rescheduled events. You can also check out our full list of FAQs here. It won't be long until we're fully back on our feet!

But because some of the events might not be happening at the moment, it doesn't mean that the rest of our vibrant site we sit on is sleeping...absolutely noway!

Our lovely neighbours over at Resorts World have officially re-opened their doors with the likes of Ben Sherman, Beauty Outlet, Carhatt Outlet, GAP Outlet, Levi's Outlet, Nike Factory Store and NEXT Outlet (to name a few) starting to welcome customers back in for a good ol' shopping spree! Full list of stores that are open and their opening times can be found here.

Here's a bit more about how Resorts World is currently operating for customers in order to give you a safe, fun, shopping experience.

Getting Here / Parking
All guests will be directed to park in the South 2 car park (opposite Resorts World). Please follow the signs on entrance to the NEC campus. We’ve simplified our parking tariffs so that during this time when we are all being extra careful you will not have to hand over your parking ticket tobe validated. Our temporary tariff is £2.50 all day, with contactless payment, to ensure that you can focus on enjoying your visit. To allow for one way traffic and avoid any congestion our multi-storey car park will remain closed at the present time.

If you are travelling by train / bus to Birmingham International Station then please note that the walkway through the NEC is currently only open 09:00 - 18:00. Outside of these hours please the stairs or lifts at that entrance down to Perimeter way and follow signs to Resorts World. These will bring you to the South 2 carpark opposite our entrance (10 min walk).

Entrance and Exit
Floor markings are in place to help you keep 2 metres apart while queuing and there are clearly marked entrance and exit doors to ensure a quick and safe flow of movement during your visit. We currently have two queues; one for Nike and one for the rest of Resorts World. Just follow signs when you arrive or speak to one of our team.

While You Shop
As you walk around Resorts World you will see directional arrows for one-way traffic and clearly marked areas for queueing to avoid breaching the recommended limits. Each store will have a different number of guests allowed inside at any one time so we would ask all of our guests to be patient and observe these markings whilst waiting to shop. You will see that many seating areas, toilet cubicles and other areas have been reduced and may be unavailable to ensure it is as easy as possible for everyone to maintain social distancing.

Safety Measures
The safety of our Guests and teams has always been at the heart of what we do. There are hand sanitiser stations around the building for guests to use and round the clock cleaning of all areas. Although face masks are not required for our guests, we would encourage everyone who wishes, to wear one during their visit. Our staff and our stores will have a range of safety equipment that they will be wearing and most of our stores will be contactless payment only.

Resorts World isn't the only thing on offer on our campus, you can now also top-up your thrill seeking energy with Bear Grylls Adventure!

Here you'll be able to discover a whole new world of fun with the likes of High Ropes, iFLY, Indoor Archery, Shark Dive, Indoor Climb, Escape Rooms, Cage Snorkel and the Royal Marines-inspired Assault Course on offer all under one roof!

The man himself, ACTUAL BEAR GRYLLS, made a surprise visit to the attraction last weekend much to the delight of visitors! The Mayor of Birmingham, Andy Street, tweeted: "Great to see @BearGrylls making a surprise visit to West Mids this weekend. @theBGAdventure is just one example of the incredible attractions that we have all around our region. Which one will you be visiting this summer?

Again, the lovely people over at Bear Grylls Adventure have put plenty of new procedures in place to ensure you stay safe whilst having the time of your life. Check out their full health and safety measures right here.
