ELTON JOHN'S ROCKET HOUR PODCAST

The career of international singer/songwriter and performer Elton John has spanned more than five decades, so it’s no brainer really that he has a podcast which everyone is talking about. Elton’s ‘Rocket Hour’ show sees the icon interview some of the biggest and most influential figures in music. This weekend the podcast hit its 278th episode, where he interviewed Olly Alexander from Years & Years…and we think it’s one of his best.

In the podcast they talk all things 'It's a Sin', the amazing TV drama that follows a group of friends throughout the 80s as their life of hedonistic partying is infiltrated by the emergence of the HIV/AIDS pandemic. (If you haven't seen it, it's a must watch)

 

It also gave us a bit more of an insight into Elton's life as he compares his younger self to Ritchie, Elton said: 'Well, it reminded me of myself in the '70s. I was a very naughty boy and I had so much fun and I didn't care what I got up to.'

 

Elton's interview technique is second to non and it really feels like you are right there with them. It's a great positivity podcast to listen to this lockdown and we can not recommend it enough!
